2. Clemson’s Offense is Really Really bad

This seems to be the main takeaway from every Clemson football game so far this season. However, when you are one of the premier programs in college football, you are supposed to have high expectations. Clemson’s offense deserves an F-minus for how it has played this season and I don’t know where the answers are going to be coming from.

The offensive line has been dominated by Georgia, Georgia Tech, and NC State this season. That is something that is just unacceptable if you are the Clemson Tigers.

The offense is missing Travis Etienne more than was expected because this running game is just putrid. Shipley has shown potential, but to expect a true freshman to take over an offense of a playoff contender is just silly.

The biggest issue for Clemson is I don’t know how they fix their biggest issues this season. The offensive line is not going to magically improve and there is no one else to go to in the backfield. This is a huge fix for Swinney, but there is a reason that he is paid all of that money.
