The A&M offense is just plain bad

Texas A&M went into Saturday’s game against Arkansas as the favorite but it probably shouldn’t have been based on what we’ve seen this season.

The Aggies didn’t play all that well against Kent State and survived against what could easily have been a loss at Colorado. There was a pattern there, while Arkansas has been starting fast and blowing people out, Texas included.

What we saw on Saturday was more of what we have seen and it’s hard to imagine this offense finding some miracle cure for its struggles outside of Isaiah Spiller who broke off a long run for A&M’s only touchdown. There was no sustained offense.

Arkansas does have an outstanding defense. But against two Power-5 opponents, the Aggies have been held to 10 points and under 300 yards of total offense.

The Aggies had the 79th-best scoring offense to open the weekend and it sure looked like it in Dallas in a crushing 10-point loss.
