1. Wake Forest is the best team in the ACC

Right now. As of this week, Wake Forest is playing the best football in the ACC. Let’s set the context here and state the obvious. The Demon Deacons are not the most talented team in the ACC; Clemson is the best team in the ACC.

Looking simply at the 247sports.com recruiting rankings, the Demon Deacons were last in the ACC in recruiting. That is not an indicator of their talent because head coach Dave Clawson and the Deacons football program develop players as well as any team in the country.

However, they do not have anywhere near the best roster in the conference. However, Wake Forest football is the perfect example of fit amongst its starting eleven.

So far this season, the Demon Deacons play cohesively, which has been in short supply in the conference this season.

Clemson cannot score points, Miami’s receivers cannot separate from anyone, and North Carolina has only one wide receiver that can catch. All of these teams in the conference are exponentially more talented, who are not playing as cohesively as Wake Forest.

Will this be true in November? Only time will tell, but it is true right now.
