2. Jacob Conover (or whoever starts for BYU) out-duels Hank Bachmeier

Who is going to start at quarterback for BYU on Saturday afternoon? Honestly, no one knows right now. The Cougars have said that Jaren Hall is closer to returning than Baylor Romney so he may actually be back for this one, but my money is on Jacob Conover.

Conover was actually one of the best quarterbacks in the 2019 recruiting class as a four-star and even held an offer from Alabama, so it’s not like he’s some slouch.

But he’s going to actually out-duel Hank Bachmeier on Saturday afternoon which no one will see coming.

I’m going to predict about 250-plus yards for Conover along with three touchdowns and no interceptions as he completes close to 70 percent of his passes. Not too shabby for a first start for the young quarterback.

Man is BYU ever deep at the quarterback position.
