9. Oregon (4-1)

Oregon was off this weekend and unfortunately has to wait another week to shake off that disappointing loss to Stanford. Hopefully, Mario Cristobal has got his team back on track with a good week of practice and will have them ready to go against California this Friday night.

Next game: vs. California
My prediction: Win 35-20

10. Michigan State (5-0)

Michigan State’s offense was absolutely rolling in this game against Rutgers. It was big play central for the Spartans who just breaking off against this Rutgers’ defense.

Michigan State had three stars in this one. The one I was most impressed with was wide receiver Jalen Nailor who looked like a man among boys out there. This dude had three different touchdown catches all for over 60 yards each.

Payton Thorne was the second star as he posted his best game of the season with a PFF grade of 92.5. He finished with 340 passing yards on only 27 yards and three touchdowns. The third and final star of the game was of course running back Kenneth Walker who has been a star all season for the Spartans. He had 232 rushing yards and a touchdown is actually a pretty standard game for him which is just absurd.

Next game: vs. Indiana
My prediction: Win 37-30

11. Kentucky (6-0)

Kentucky remains perfect after whooping LSU on Saturday. But their perfect season could come to an end this week as they will travel to Athens to take on Georgia. But for now, the Wildcats are still riding high and should be happy about where they’re at midway through the season.

This may have been Kentucky’s best offensive performance of the season against LSU as they put up 42 and were extremely efficient the entire game. Quarterback Will Levis was nearly perfect in this one and was responsible for five total touchdowns which resulted in a PFF grade of 91.5.

I was actually impressed at how well Kentucky ran the ball against LSU. They went for 330 rushing yards averaged over 7.0 yards a carry as a team. They’ll need to continue that success on the ground if they want to have any shot against Georgia.

Next game: vs. Georgia
My prediction: Lose 28-6
