Nothing says Jim Harbaugh football like a sleepy 33-7 win over Northwestern. While the final score indicates a blowout, it was actually much closer for the first 30 minutes. The Wildcats were down just three at halftime before the Wolverines scored all of the 23 points in the second half to win by 26.

Harbaugh’s offense may not make a lot of fans happy and there are some clamoring for JJ McCarthy to start over Cade McNamara, but the veteran hasn’t made any serious mistakes yet for there to be a switch.

McNamara had another ‘meh’ performance, completing 20-of-27 passes for 129 yards and no touchdowns. Luckily he had Hassan Haskins and Blake Corum to rely on, but this showing only made fans hungrier for the talented blue-chip freshman.

We’ll see who Michigan rolls with when they take the field in a top-10 road battle next weekend against Michigan State.

The Wolverines will likely stay put here at No. 6.
