1. Massive stretch kicks off for Michigan next week

Michigan started this year off as an unranked team with low expectations. Right now the Wolverines stand at 7-0 as the 6th ranked team in the country. And they have a College Football Playoff berth staring them dead in the eye.

Nobody will mistake this for the most talented team that has played under Jim Harbaugh. But, this is a complete team with good players in all phases of the game.

It will not be easy at all with games against Michigan State, Penn State, and Ohio State on the horizon. The reality is that all of these teams are in the top 10 (pending Penn State/Illinois outcome), so if they win all three they will be a lock to make the playoff.

There is even a scenario they can be considered if they go 2-1 in those games and secure a conference championship appearance.

Harbaugh has never made the conference championship game in his tenure at Michigan. He has had plenty of close calls, but this is the time for him to lead his team into a prominent spot. The Wolverines are on the verge, but will have to close out the season strong against a daunting set of opponents.
