3-4, 2-3. Previous: . Yellow Jackets . 11. team. 880.

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are playing better football. That is clear just from looking at the box scores. The only team to put the screws to the Jackets were the Pitt Panthers.

Georgia Tech played Virginia to one score last week. The Ramblin’ Wreck has an outside chance at a bowl, but they would have to win their next three, starting with a reeling Virginia Tech team.

. 3-4, 1-2. Previous: . Hokies . 10. team. 847

If there is one thing that has Hokie fans hot under the collar is watching Hendon Hooker play well on an undermanned Tennessee team, and Braxton Burmeister plays poorly so often this season.

Virginia Tech is a job that former head coach Frank Beamer made look easier than it is. Fuente has not endeared himself to the coaches he needed to, and recruiting has suffered as a result.

It might be a matter of time for Fuente.

. 4-4, 1-3. Previous: . Orange . 9. team. 827

Next to Miami, no team has suffered more heartbreaking losses than the Syracuse Orange. Head coach Dino Babers has changed the team’s offensive identity behind running back Sean Tucker and quarterback Garrett Schrader.

Syracuse had lost three straight games by a field goal before breaking through and defeating the Hokies. Keep your eye on the Orange; they have a shot at a bowl game.
