ACC Football Power Rankings, Week 9: Does the ACC have the best QBs?

Sportswriters and Pitt fans worldwide are looking for and expecting the Pitt Panthers to do their Pitt thing again this season. It is possible that Pitt “Pitted” against Western Michigan, losing 44-41. The Panthers are not a perfect team by any means, however.
Though the running game is better this season, the Panthers do not have a closer late in close games. Kenny Pickett has done a great job accepting the load offensively. Everything in Pitt’s offense goes through No. 8, and he has responded.
The defense gives up a lot of big plays but has two of the best defensive ends in the conference. Every remaining game on their schedule is winnable unless they do the most Pitt thing Pitt could do.
Wake Forest is good for at least one track meet per season. Ironically, this season’s track meet was against the Army. A ridiculous stat from their 70-56 victory is the Demon Deacons scored 70 points in 17 minutes and 17 seconds. That is one point every 4.1 minutes.
It was chunk play after chunk play for Wake Forest. The Deacons get Duke this weekend. The two-game stretch to keep eyes on is NC State and Clemson in mid-November. Those two games could determine if Wake Forest wins the ACC Atlantic.
