BYU Football: 3 bold predictions for November 2021
1. BYU goes 3-0
BYU has just three games left on its 2021 schedule after starting 7-2 and not yet getting a bye week. The Cougars will finally get their bye after taking on Idaho State in Week 10 and before traveling to Georgia Southern.
Is it an ideal time for a bye? Not really. The Cougars are getting rolling again after beating Washington State and Virginia, but an ideal time would have been right before or right after facing Boise State. That may have helped them avoid back-to-back losses.
But Idaho State and Georgia Southern should be easy wins for the Cougars. That leads to a tough final game against yet another Pac-12 foe in USC.
I see BYU starting the month 2-0 before facing USC, but the Trojans have been trending in the wrong direction this season after firing Clay Helton.
BYU is 4-0 against Pac-12 teams on the year and I think they win their biggest game against a team from that league in the final game of the season, downing USC by a touchdown on its own field.
A 10-2 finish to the year might equate to a New Year’s Six bowl.
