SEC Football Power Rankings Week 10: Kentucky in free fall
By Shelbie Warr
The Missouri Tigers don’t move this week after beating Vanderbilt. Beating the worst team in the conference doesn’t get you moving up or anything like that. Now, they face off against Georgia and that is really the chance to move up. However, I don’t anticipate that being the kind of upset that actually happens this year. Sorry Tiger fans, but you know full well that it isn’t going to happen.
Tennessee was off last week. Now, they prepare to face off against Kentucky who is reeling after a loss to Mississippi State last week. Can this be the signature win for the Volunteers this season? Can they play spoiler for the Wildcats and really knock them out of NY6 contention? This game could be sneaky good and people should keep an eye out for this one.
The Florida Gators stay put after losing to Georgia this week because that is what was expected of them. Florida has been so up and down this season and there is no Kyle Pitts to save them when the offense isn’t working, so now they sit at the bottom half of the conference looking for something to rocket them back up to where they think they belong. They play South Carolina this week, so that should help, but not much.
