2. Isaiah Spiller and Devon Achane are the superior running backs in this matchup.

There was a lot of talk at the start of the season about how great Tank Bigsby is and how he could easily be the best back in the conference, if not in the top three. However, this game proved that Bigsby could not be compared to the Aggies’ tandem that they have fielded this year in Isaiah Spiller and Devon Achance.

Bigsby finished this game with 69 yards on 15 carries. His team didn’t score and the Aggie defense held him back from having any big plays or game-changing runs.

Spiller finished with 112 yards on 21 carries and Achane with 98 yards on 10 carries. This was the 16th game that Spiller has finished with more than 100 yards. Bigsby has eight such games. Blame poor offensive line play, blame facing good defenses, or whatever else you want to blame, but this just facts — both Achane and Spiller are superior to Bigsby and this game showed it.

The Auburn defense played well and definitely held back both from having big games, but they were still able to put big numbers up and that just proves my point. I’m sorry Auburn fans, but this is just the truth.
