College Football 2021: Winners, losers from Week 12 AP Top 25
Winner: Utah (Up to 24th)
Utah has been one of the hottest teams in the country since they struggled in the early part of the season. Cameron Rising has been a very good starter for the Utes ever since taking over at the quarterback spot. Utah looks like they will be the biggest challenger to Oregon in the Pac-12 and the two teams play this week.
Utah is playing great defense and running the ball well during their winning streak. They were not impressive against a bad Arizona team yesterday, but I am chalking that up to looking ahead to this week’s game against the Ducks. Keep an eye on the Utes.
Winner: Arkansas (Up to 21st)
It wasn’t that long ago that the Razorbacks were in the top ten and looking like an SEC West contender. After some losses, Arkansas fell all the way out of the rankings, but they found a way back after winning their rivalry game against LSU.
Arkansas has a huge task playing Alabama this weekend, but this has been another great season for Sam Pittman and the Razorbacks. Arkansas is going to have an opportunity to finish the season with eight or more wins and this is just a few years removed from being winless in the SEC. The Razorbacks have been a great story to follow all season.
