Winner: Baylor (Up to 11th)

The team that had the largest jump in the AP poll this week is the team that pulled off one of the best wins of the week. The Baylor Bears shocked Oklahoma in Waco on Saturday and kept their Big 12 title hopes alive. This was a great performance by the Bears and head coach Dave Aranda and Baylor is going to have a chance to win double-digit games and possibly head to a New Year’s Six game.

Baylor won this game on the backs of their defense and the defense has been impressive all season long. What might be worrying Baylor fans is if Aranda is going to start getting serious consideration for some of the big job openings around the country.

Winner: San Diego State (Up to 23rd)

San Diego State has been one of the best group of five teams all season long and is back in the rankings after dropping out after losing to Fresno State. The Aztecs got a big conference win on Saturday night against Nevada and San Diego State should be considered the front runners to win the Mountain West. This is a team that could be making an appearance in the New Year’s Six if Cincinnati either makes the playoff or does not win their conference.
