SEC Power Rankings Week 12: Florida in free fall after weeks of struggle
By Shelbie Warr
Tennessee may not be bowl eligible yet, but they have a win over Kentucky so here we are. However, they have two very winnable games left this year and could easily find their way to that six-win mark. They only need one win and with South Alabama and Vanderbilt as the last two matchups, the Volunteers are sitting pretty to be a bowl eligible team at the end of all of this.
The Razorbacks are just at the halfway point of the conference. They have big wins over teams like Texas A&M, but losses to Georgia, Ole Miss, and Auburn. They aren’t great, but they aren’t terrible either. Now. they are preparing for Alabama this week and Missouri next week. Could the Razorbacks lose both of these? Sure, though I don’t think that’ll happen. I think that Arkansas loses to Alabama and beats Missouri.
The Auburn Tigers are sitting at 6-4 and have dropped from the top 3 in the SEC Power Rankings to No. 6 after things went not so great for them these last couple of weeks. They had the three points against Texas A&M and allowed a 40 point comeback to Mississippi State. Then, to top it all off, Bo Nix broke his ankle last week and the team is now being turned over to TJ Finley who- while talented- hasn’t been the starter for this team for the year and doesn’t have the experience. Overall, not a great way to spend two weeks.
