6. Notre Dame (10-1)

Week 12 result: Defeated Georgia Tech 55-0

Notre Dame is playing as well as anybody in the country right now. They have dominated every game for almost the last month now and are continuing to sneak back into the playoff picture. Early in the season, it seemed like they had no chance of making the playoff. But here they are heading into Week 13 with a legitimate shot at finishing in the top four when it’s all said and done.

This Fighting Irish defense is playing out of its mind right now. They haven’t allowed a touchdown in their last three games. Linebacker Jack Kiser is leading the way for this defense grading out extremely well according to PFF. He had a pick-six this Saturday for Georgia Tech and finished with an elite PFF grade of 94.5 in this game.

As good as their defense has been, you can’t forget about this Irish offense who is also rolling. 55 points was a season-high for them versus the Yellow Jackets this past weekend.

After struggling early in the year, Jack Coan has solidified himself as the unquestioned starting quarterback and leader of this team. He continues to play better and better every week and has got the Irish on a roll at the right time.

Next game: vs. Stanford
My prediction: Win 27-10
