College Football 2021: Winners, losers from Week 14 AP Top 25 release
Winner: Michigan (Up to No. 2)
Of all the great games and results on Saturday, Michigan’s victory over Ohio State stands out amongst them all. This was Jim Harbaugh’s first victory over the Buckeyes since being hired in 2015 and now, the Wolverines stand one victory away from making the college football playoff. Many around college football were starting to have serious doubts about whether Harbaugh could actually get Michigan to the Big Ten Championship, but he can now check that off the list.
Another reason Michigan is a big winner this weekend is the fact they don’t have to play Wisconsin. I know the Wolverines beat the Badgers this season, but they are a more formidable opponent than Iowa is. The Wolverines are having a dream season and are one win away from making it even better
Winner: Clemson (Up to No. 22)
Clemson is finally back in the AP Poll. The Tigers were one of the top national title contenders before the season, but some in-season stumbles led to them dropping out. After a dominant 30-0 win over in-state rival South Carolina, the Tigers finished 9-3 and should head to a nice bowl game.
Clemson’s streak of six straight ACC Championships is going to come to an end, but Clemson was playing good football at the end of the season and has the momentum to bounce back in 2022.
