Cheez-It Bowl: Clemson Football vs Iowa State

The latest projections from CBS Sports have Clemson heading to the Cheez-It Bowl in Orlando to take on the Iowa State Cyclones.

The Tigers and Cyclones have yet to meet in a football game, so this would be an exciting matchup between these two very well-coached teams. Iowa State Head Coach Matt Campbell has now led his team to five consecutive bowl games.

The Cyclones are a lot better than their 7-5 record suggests. They lost several close games this season that could have gone either way. The Cyclones lost to Baylor by three, Texas Tech by three, and Oklahoma by seven.

Senior QB Brock Purdy will test the Clemson defense as one of the best passers in the Big 12 this season. But, in the end, Clemson football would likely be too strong and too fast for Iowa State’s offense to be productive.

In this game, Clemson would be looking to extend its streak of winning 10 or more games to 11, something many didn’t think would be possible with the rough start to the season.

Tigers fans will be looking forward to this matchup if it happens.
