3 Reasons Utah Football will beat Ohio State in the Rose Bowl

2. Ohio State’s Opt-Outs

It has become a trend for players to skip out on non-playoff bowl games if they are thought to be an NFL Draft pick. Ohio State is going to be dealing with some of these opt-outs in the Rose Bowl game.

Star receivers Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson are going to skip the game in Pasadena. Other opt-outs include defensive tackle Haskell Garrett and offensive tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere.

While the Buckeyes have talented guys behind them, especially at the receiver position, most of those guys have not seen extensive game action.

Look for Utah to take advantage of those guys being out. This team is motivated to be there and they are going to look to exploit some of Ohio State’s best players being out.
