Scouting Report. Sept 3. 1. Atlanta, GA. Oregon Ducks. player. 820. Pick Analysis

What a way for the Georgia season to begin. The Bulldogs will get to open up their season in-state in Atlanta vs Oregon, which has been one of the most successful programs of the past decade or so. The most interesting aspect of this game will be the battle of the head coaches. New Oregon head coach Dan Lanning just finished up his stint as the Georgia defensive coordinator and now is in Eugene trying to take the Ducks to the next level.

Another interesting wrinkle to this game is that Oregon will be led by former Auburn quarterback Bo Nix. Nix has experience playing against the Bulldogs and will be looking to finally knock them off. This is a losable game for Georgia with so many new starters being gone, but Nix is not the kind of quarterback that can beat a talented team like Georgia. A closer game than most might think, but Georgia football comes out on top.

Final Score: Georgia 27, Oregon 20 (1-0)

After getting such a big win over Oregon in week one, Georgia will have to come home and get ready for their easiest game of the year against Samford. The Bulldogs are a respectable FCS program, but this is going to be a game for Georiga to play some young guys and see what kind of depth they have for the SEC schedule ahead.

Final Score: Georgia 56, Samford 7 (2-0)
