Georgia Football: Way-too-Early Game-by-Game Predictions for 2022
For their first SEC game of the season, Georgia will travel to Columbia to take on South Carolina. The Gamecocks have become somewhat of a trendy team this season and for next season with the way that they played this season. Head coach Shame Beamer exceeded expectations in his first season and some are thinking that this could be an upset trap for the Bulldogs on the road.
South Carolina is going to have a talented quarterback with incoming transfer Spencer Rattler. Rattler was one of the favorites for the Heisman Trophy at the start of the 2021 season but fell short of those expectations. Beamer has momentum and this program is trending towards being solid, but they are going to be overhyped heading into next season and Georgia will show them who still runs the SEC East in this game.
Final Score: Georgia 38, South Carolina 17 (3-0, 1-0 SEC)
The next game for Georgia football before the month of October starts will be against Kent State, one of the better teams in the MAC conference. The Golden Flashes have become a solid team under head coach Sean Lewis, who is thought to be one of the better young head coaches in the country. While Kent State has made it a habit to contend in the MAC and challenge for spots in bowl games, this is going to be too tough of a test for their team. Georgia wins big.
Final Score: Georgia 49, Kent State 14 (4-0)
