Georgia Football: Way-too-Early Game-by-Game Predictions for 2022
For the first game in the month of October, Georgia will travel to Columbia, Missouri to take on another SEC East team. Missouri was a team that was thought to be ready to take another step in 2021, but that did not happen. The Tigers had a terrible defense and their offense was not explosive enough to overcome that. Missouri is going to be losing their most explosive offensive player in running back, Tyler Badie and that will be tough to overcome.
Missouri has been a tough place for teams to play, but it is not going to be a problem for Georgia. The Bulldogs are going to be able to keep Missouri from getting going on offense and the Tigers defense is not going to have a prayer at stopping Georgia.
Final Score: Georgia 45, Missouri 20 (5-0, 2-0)
Georgia football’s SEC West rival is going to come to Athens and try to knock off the Bulldogs, something they have not done since 2017. Auburn is a program that is in a bit of a tough spot right now.
Head coach Bryan Harsin does not appear to have this program heading in the right direction and there are no good vibes coming from the plains. The Tigers are losing both of their coordinators and lost their quarterback to the transfer portal. They did get former Texas A&M quarterback Zach Calzada to replace him, but that is not going to be a big difference.
It feels as if Harsin and Auburn are heading for a divorce after this season. It has always felt like an awkward fit and the Tigers are not projected to have a good season in 2022. Georgia football will win this game big at home.
Final Score: Georgia 35, Auburn 7 (6-0, 3-0)
