3. EDGE Kevonte Henry from Michigan to Arizona

Arizona head coach Jedd Fisch is working on building something again in the desert but it’s not going to be easy considering the starting point.

Yet, every rebuilding project starts on the recruiting trail and Fisch has proven to be pretty solid in that department and the Wildcats are looking to close the 2022 college football recruiting class out strong.

And they can do that by flipping a former verbal commitment of Michigan football.

That’s three-star edge rusher Kevonte Henry. Henry is rated as a four-star by the 247 sports specific rankings for 2022 and he’s a four-star prospect according to On3 and the On3.com consensus rankings for 2022.

But there is some debate about him. However, the Wolverines landed his commitment back in June after bringing Courtney Morgan on board as their director of player personnel.

Morgan had strong ties to Henry, who is out of California but when Morgan left for Washington, Henry’s ties to Michigan got weaker and the Wolverines haven’t really made a push for him during this final lead up to National Signing Day.

However, instead of Henry winding up at Washington as many expected, Fisch and Arizona football has swooped in and just received a crystal ball projection to flip the 6-foot-2, 225-pound pass rusher who also visited Oklahoma and Florida recently.

That speaks to his ability and also the kind of recruiting win this would be for Arizona if the Wildcats are able to reel him in on National Signing Day.
