David Cutcliffe turned Duke football from homecoming fodder into a division winner in the ACC, but the program grew stale, and in comes former Texas A&M defensive coordinator Mike Elko as Duke’s new coach.

Mataeo Durant, their all-ACC tailback, is gone. So too are most offensive contributors, whether by transfer or graduation.

The pieces left on this team are simply outmatched, and Pitt takes a comfortable senior day victory.

Final score: Pitt 48, Duke 10 (Pitt 10-1, 6-1 in ACC)

All of a sudden, Miami looks like a really healthy football program. Former Michigan offensive coordinator Josh Gattis made big news in early February, joining Mario Cristobal’s staff at the same position after Jim Harbaugh’s fling with the Vikings.

There’s no Charleston Rambo or D’Eriq King, but Tyler Van Dyke looked really good last year at quarterback, and tailback Jaylon Knighton is a nice piece as well. Quite a few defensive pieces are back too, and this Miami team may be set to compete in year one.

Miami scores the upset victory, denying what would likely be a serious Pitt playoff bid.

Final score: Miami 27, Pitt 26 (Pitt finishes 10-2, 6-2 in ACC)
