Future All-American: Will Johnson

There are plenty of future All-American candidates from Michigan football’s 2022 recruiting class to choose from. Derrick Moore has all the talent in the world and if the staff can continue to get edge rushers to produce, he should have an incredible career.

Keon Sabb is another name to watch. He was a borderline five-star recruit and was committed to Clemson for a long time before Brent Venables departure opened things up. Zeke Berry, Clemons, and Tyler Morris are all elite talents in my view.

However, Johnson is in a class by himself. He’s ranked as the No. 14 overall player in the 2022 class by the 247 sports composite rankings and he’s third among corners. He’s got the size, the ball skills, and the mentality to be great.

The Wolverines have needed a true lockdown corner for years and while D.J. Turner was outstanding last season, Johnson’s ability is on another level. So is his love for Michigan football and over the next three years, he is going to write quite a legacy.
