Offensive Line:

Left Tackle: Zion Nelson

Backup: Issiah Walker Jr

Left Guard: Jalen Rivers

Backup: Ryan Rodriguez

Center: Jakai Clark

Backup: Cleveland Reed Jr

Right Guard: Logan Sagapolu

Backup: Ousman Traore

Right Tackle: John Campbell Jr

Backup: Justice Oluwaseun

This is going to be the most important piece of the offense for Miami football to figure out for this season. The Hurricanes have been unable to field a good offensive line for years now, but that position is Cristobal’s specialty. He also brought with him one of the best offensive line coaches in college football, Alex Mirabal.

Zion Nelson is back at left tackle for the 2022 season. He was thought to be a top-level NFL prospect at this time last year but had a disappointing season. He is returning to anchor the line and hopefully improve and get back to being a hot NFL prospect.

Jalen Rivers was having a breakout season before a season-ending injury. Rivers was probably Miami’s best offensive lineman until he got hurt and he is going to hope he can pick right up where he left off.  Jakai Clark has plenty of experience at center and was at least consistent at the position last season.

The real questions are going to be on the right side of the line. Logan Sagapolu is transferring in from Oregon and is familiar with Cristobal and Mirabal. He probably has an edge in the competition at right guard, but nothing is guaranteed. John Campbell should be the favorite at right tackle due to experience, but he has not been fantastic thus far in his career.

The backups have some experience but are relatively untested. Justice Oluwaseun will compete at right tackle and could start. He was solid last season, but hardly elite. Ousman Traore has starting experience but is probably best suited to be a backup. Guys like Issiah Walker, Ryan Rodriguez, and Michael McLaughlin have not played yet, but have talent.
