Baylor Football: Way-too-Early 2022 Game Predictions
This is going to be the biggest game up to this point of the season for the Baylor Bears. Oklahoma has been the Big 12 powerhouse, but Baylor has been able to play the Sooners ‘ tough, and the win over Oklahoma last season propelled Baylor to the Big 12 championship game.
Oklahoma is going to have a different look on the sidelines and on the field this season. Lincoln Riley took the job at USC and Clemson defensive coordinator Brent Venables is now the head coach.
Star quarterback Caleb Williams is gone as well and is being replaced by UCF transfer Dillon Gabriel. While all of this change might mean that the Sooners won’t be a playoff contender, they are still the favorites in the Big 12. They get the revenge win over the Bears in Norman.
Final Score: Baylor 31, Oklahoma 35 (7-2, 5-1)
This could be a tricky game for Baylor after such a big game against Oklahoma. Kansas State is always a tough team to play under coach Chris Kleiman, but the good thing for Baylor is that the game is going to be at home. The Wildcats are going to be without quarterback Skylar Thompson, but they do return running back Deuce Vaughn, who is one of the best in college football.
This could be a trap game for Baylor. Coming off of a loss will be tough and Kansas State will be a better team at the end of the season than at the beginning. Kansas State will pull the upset on the road over Baylor.
