Texas A&M Football: Way-too-early 2022 game predictions
By Austin Lloyd
Game 10: at Auburn (L)
Keeping with the trend of tough places to play, the Aggies will be heading into Jordan-Hare to face the Auburn Tigers.
In short, I do not think that Auburn is better than Texas A&M on any given day. But do I think that they are capable of being better when they are playing at home while A&M is coming off of physical matchups against Ole Miss and Florida? Yes.
Record: 8-2, 5-2
Game 11: vs. UMass (W)
In the beginning, I said that there were smaller fish to feed on than teams like Sam Houston and Appalachian State. When saying that, the UMass Minutemen were the predominant example that I had in mind. If that sounds harsh, then just remember that UMass has snatched two whopping wins out of their last three seasons. Ew.
Record: 9-2
Game 12: vs. LSU (L)
And here we have it: Texas A&M’s only home loss of the 2022 college football season. But you know what? There’s not too much to say about it.
The LSU Tigers have always been a tunnel to the NFL (so we know that they’re talented), they now have an outstanding head coach in Brian Kelly, and they have also won nine of their last 11 meetings with the Aggies. A&M will end their once-promising run on a disheartening loss.
Despite an impressive start, the Texas A&M Aggies will finish their 2022 regular-season slate with yet another good — but not great — record of 9-3.
Final record: 9-3, 5-3
