4. Ole Miss Rebels

Lane Kiffin is one of the most colorful personalities in college football and he also happens to be one of the best coaches.

The self-proclaimed “Portal King” went into the transfer market and landed some big names like tight end Michael Trigg from USC, quarterback Jaxson Dart from USC, tight end JJ Pegues from Auburn, and running back Zach Evans from TCU, among 10 others. He’s done an excellent job addressing needs and life after Matt Corral shouldn’t be so scary after all.

Ole Miss is fresh off a Sugar Bowl appearance in which it lost because of an injury to Corral and that scared Kiffin into hitting the portal to find Dart who should lead the offense for the next couple of years and the potential there is endless.

Defense improved last season and it should be solid once again in 2022.

The Rebels won double-digit games in 2021 and made a New Year’s Six bowl so it’s not crazy to think that they could contend for an SEC title in 2022.
