Top 3 replacements for Davante Adams in 2022 NFL draft
1. Treylon Burks
There are some really good wide receivers in the 2022 NFL draft but I don’t know if any are better than Arkansas’ Treylon Burks.
Burks left for the NFL draft after his junior season but he had three really productive seasons with Arkansas and caught 146 passes for 2,399 yards and 18 touchdowns. He averaged over 16 yards per reception in each of his three seasons in college and physically, he’s probably the most like Adams at 6-foot-2, 225 pounds.
Burks ran the 40-yard dash in 4.55 which doens’t seem as fast as a 4.39 but at the end of the day, Adams wasn’t a burner either. Some guys just have the ability to make plays and Burks fits in that category. He’s also probably as good as any wide receiver in the draft at beating press coverage, which will be key to having early success in the NFL.
The former Razorback also has the best combination of size/speed. He also had two of his best games against Alabama and Texas A&M, two teams with lots of NFL talent.
I wouldn’t be shocked if the Packers had to actually move up to get him or at least use their first pick but if they are looking for the best replacement for Adams in the 2022 NFL draft, Burks is it.
