1. Bryce Young, Alabama

There’s no doubt that the best quarterback coming back in the SEC is Bryce Young. He was spectacular last season for the Crimson Tide and had 10 games where he threw at least three touchdowns.

One of the games that he didn’t have at least three touchdown passes was the National Championship Game against Georiga. He threw just one and will surely be determined to come back and finish his storybook career with a national title.

Young could also become the first Heisman Trophy winner to repeat since Archie Griffin did it for Ohio State back in the 70s. Young also had 10 games last season in which he threw for 300 yards, so if that kind of production continues, he will have a great shot to win again.

The bottom line is that Young feels like a generational quarterback. His accuracy, arm strength, and leadership are the entire package and there are a lot of winners on this list but it wouldn’t be shocking at all to see Young add a national title to his resume in 2022.

His combined strengths also make him an easy choice as the SEC’s top QB in 2022.
