3. Ohio State Buckeyes

Ohio State is no stranger to going undefeated in the regular season and it felt like Urban Meyer accomplished that feat every other year when he was still in charge.

Ryan Day actually went 13-0 before losing in the Fiesta Bowl in 2019 and then 7-0 prior to coming up short in the national title game in 2020. The Buckeyes haven’t missed a beat post-Meyer but the 2021 season can be viewed as a disappointment despite an 11-2 record and Rose Bowl victory. They watched as rival Michigan represented the Big Ten in the playoff.

The Buckeyes are going to make sure Michigan doesn’t steal the crown again in 2022 and revenge will likely be on the docket as the two will face off in Columbus to end the regular season.

Heading into that finale, I would not be shocked to see Ohio State sitting at 11-0. It has a couple of tough home games against Notre Dame and Wisconsin and then two tough road contests at Michigan State and Penn State but I see the Buckeyes winning all four of those.

CJ Stroud returns along with TreVeyon Henderson, Marvin Harrison Jr., and Jaxon Smith-Njigba so the offense should be explosive, to put it lightly. The Buckeyes also bring in the No. 4 recruiting class for 2022. As long as the defense isn’t a disaster, I see Ohio State running through the Big Ten and contending for another national title.
