2. Georgia Bulldogs

How could I make a list like this and not include the defending national champs?

Georgia was running through the SEC last season before the conference title game when Alabama flexed some muscle, beating the undefeated Bulldogs to lock up a berth in the playoff.

The Bulldogs got their revenge in the national title game, ending a lengthy drought and finishing the season with a 14-1 record and as the top team in the country. Kirby Smart built a powerhouse and it’s not going anywhere any time soon.

Stetson Bennett is returning at quarterback and the run game should be top-tier along with the defense reloading thanks to the No. 3 recruiting class in the country. This team has as much talent as anyone in college football and that just means that the only team that could really beat the Bulldogs (outside of Alabama) is themselves.

Smart has an incredible roster to work with and a coaching staff that knows how to coach guys up so I would not be shocked if the Bulldogs ran the table, especially after breaking through in 2021.
