1. Chris Olave, WR, Ohio State

This would be a dream scenario if Chris Olave is still on the board when the Packers are on the clock at No. 22 in the first round. The Packers might run to the podium with their selection card if he still is there to be selected.

After trading star wide receiver in Davante Adams, this would be a good place to start with Olave. At the same time, you have to go back all the way to 2002 when the Packers last drafted a wide receiver in the first round. That player at the time was Javon Walker out of Florida State. It sure would be interesting if the Packers used both of their first-round picks on wide receivers after not selecting one in the first round in the last 20 years in the NFL draft.

The former Buckeye is a very smooth route runner, plus has great speed which is something the Packers need more of on the outside. He would step in right away and make the Packers’ wide receiver room a lot better overall.

Olave finished his Ohio State career with 35 touchdowns. Those 35 touchdowns for Olave are the most all-time in Buckeyes history.

A lot of people are saying that Garrett Wilson is the better receiver overall compared to Olave coming out of Ohio State this year. Wilson is seeming to go in the top 10 in the majority of the mock drafts out there. I would not be shocked if we look back in a few years and Olave is the one who is having the better NFL career.

Will Olave be in Green Bay? I’m sure one guy would welcome him with open arms. That guy is the back-to-back MVP, Aaron Rodgers.
