Scouting Report. 1. 26. Pick Analysis. S. Notre Dame. Kyle Hamilton. player

Kyle Hamilton was once one of the top-five prospects in the 2022 NFL Draft but he somehow slipped all the way to No. 14 to the Ravens.

I can bet you that the Ravens didn’t think they had any chance to land Hamilton at 14, but the fact that he fell into their laps was a massive win for John Harbaugh and Mike Macdonald. They’re going to get the most out of this pick and I see him as an early contributor and future Pro Bowler.

Hamilton was a superstar for Notre Dame, recording 138 total tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, eight interceptions, and 16 pass breakups over three years. And this is especially impressive when you consider he was injured for half of his junior season, playing just seven games in 2021. This may have scared some teams away, but the Ravens jumped on the opportunity to draft him.

There was a point in time when it was rumored that Hamilton to the Lions at No. 2 was a real possibility. Baltimore getting him at 14 seems unfair.

This was a huge steal by the Ravens.
