Pac-12: USC @ UCLA

The clashing that goes on between the USC Trojans and UCLA Bruins is intense in a multitude of fashions. This includes but is not limited to academic excellence, basketball prowess, and, yes, even football superiority.

Now while the Trojans may take the cake when eyeballing the college football history books, the rivalry between the two is rather even right now, with each half being 2-2 in their last four meetings with one another.

But despite that, this is the first matchup of the ones listed that is present solely for what is yet to come. The 2021 installment of this hatefest saw UCLA win in dominating fashion–leaving it all on the field with a final tally of 62-33.

The future of USC football should be one of beauty, however, as the Trojans are now under the tutelage of former Oklahoma head coach Lincoln Riley. This is the factor that is expected to bring the once-great program back from the dead, and a solid way to start would be with an instant classic between it and the Bruins next season.
