A year ago, this would have been one of the best non-conference games in college football. This season, it’s still good but I don’t see Cincinnati being a playoff-caliber team again with so many key departures including Desmond Ridder and Sauce Gardner. I see Arkansas taking this one.

Plus, Arkansas is hosting the Bearcats so the advantage is on the Razorbacks’ side, especially with an improved offense and stingier defense against an unproven quarterback.

Final Score: Cincinnati 20, Arkansas 30 (1-0)

This will be a low-key elite matchup. Arkansas is one of those up-and-coming teams in the SEC and KJ Jefferson is one of the most underrated quarterbacks.

Meanwhile, South Carolina is also one of the quick SEC risers thanks to Shane Beamer and Spencer Rattler could potentially be the top quarterback prospect in the country in the 2023 NFL Draft. These two teams could have a heck of a shootout.

South Carolina will put up a fight in Fayetteville but Jefferson and the Razorbacks will have the last laugh with a game-winning touchdown late.

Final Score: South Carolina 24, Arkansas 31 (2-0, 1-0 SEC)
