Florida Football: Post-spring 2022 game-by-game predictions
Vanderbilt has been the laughingstock of the SEC, and college football, for years now and while Clark Lea was hired to change that, I just don’t see it happening this quickly.
Following a 2-10 season, the Commodores will likely be heading for 2-3 wins again and Lea will start wondering if this rebuild in Nashville is really worth the headache. Unfortunately for Vandy, this won’t be one of its three wins.
Prediction: Florida 38, Vanderbilt 21 (7-4, 5-3)
This rivalry just got more interesting with the coaching change in Gainesville, but the Gators shouldn’t see much of a drop-off from the Dan Mullen era early on.
Mike Norvell, on the other hand, is just 8-13 through two seasons with Florida State and this is a big make-or-break season for him. He might honestly need this win in order to make a bowl game and I think the Seminoles just barely get it.
This will be one of those ugly wins but in a rivalry, that doesn’t much matter.
Prediction: Florida 20, Florida State 27 (7-5, 5-3)
