3. The Blazers will continue his legacy

The departure of coach Clark will be significant for the Blazers, but Clark and the team are confident they will continue to be conference title contenders. Long-time offensive coordinator Bryant Vincent will serve as the interim head coach of the Blazers for the upcoming 2022 College Football season. Vincent is going into his sixth season with the Blazers as a disciple of coach Clark.

Time will tell if coach Clark will be back on the field in the future, but he has created a Hall of Fame-worthy career. While he may not be considered one of the top coaches in College Football, especially with Alabama’s Nick Saban in the same state, he is an example of a coach that has built a consistently successful winning program at the high school and the collegiate level.

Many players want to play college football for the Blazers, as well as coaches that look for their opportunity to coach for UAB. Clark has created a team that fans and the University are proud of. Clark has shown that UAB isn’t just a basketball program.

Clark will be a serious contender for the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame. This Hall of Fame currently includes Paul “Bear” Bryant, Bo Jackson, Jesse Owens, Willie Mays Jr., Hank Aaron, Pat Dye, and Phillip Rivers.
