I know what you’re thinking here: “how could a breakout player from a year ago seriously be considered a breakout candidate once again?”

The answer is simple: he hasn’t even scratched the surface.

Jaren Hall had a solid season in his first year as QB1, taking over for Zach Wilson in 2021, passing for over 2,500 yards and 20 touchdowns with just five picks. He also completed about 64 percent of his passes and did all of this in just 10 games. He missed three games and suffered a nagging injury for nearly a month so his numbers weren’t quite as impressive as they should have been.

If he stays healthy in 2022, Hall can realistically be a Wilson-esque breakout star. He was good in 2021, but I think he could legitimately be great in 2022.

I’ve spoken before about Hall being the most underrated quarterback in college football and I stand by that. I think we’ll see him approach 4,000 yards and 30 touchdowns in 2022 and truly be that breakout star that everyone had hoped for in 2021.
