I do know that a number of people would rank Jimbo Fisher in their top five in terms of head coaches because he has a national title, but that’s been almost a decade ago and he has just three 10-plus win seasons since.

In fact, Jimbo won the title in 2013 after going 14-0 with Florida State and then he went 13-1 the next year with a playoff loss to Oregon. After that, he had two 10-3 seasons followed by a 5-6 record before controversially leaving for Texas A&M.

It’s safe to say that Florida State fans are not fond of how Fisher left the program, especially since it hasn’t recovered. But Fisher hasn’t had a ton of success at Texas A&M yet despite leaving because he felt like the ceiling was higher — and the resources were greater.

Fisher is 34-14 in four years with the Aggies and he’s flipped back and forth between eight and nine wins every other year. Will he finally win 10 in 2022?

This is Texas A&M’s best team yet, so he should be able to win at least 10.
