2. Jackson State dominated from beginning to end.

The mantra of the Jackson State football program is “dominate.” As quarterback Shedeur Sanders told a sideline reporter after his day was done, “dominate is a way of life.” The Tigers dominated this game from beginning to end. The Tigers dominated all three phases of the game for four quarters.

Head coach Deion Sanders touted how much improved his team was in the trenches during SWAC media. The Tigers proved their second-year head coach correct. JSU was fantastic in pass protection, rendering Buck Buchanan Award winner Isaiah Land ineffective all game long.

The offense was all about sophomore quarterback Shedeur Sanders, however. Sanders showed command and comfort with the offense. His command was evident early in the game, completing 17 consecutive passes to open the game. The offense scored touchdowns on its first three possessions and did not look back.

The defense was equally as dominant on the day. FAMU could not block JSU upfront. Rattler quarterback Jeremy Moussa was under duress most of the game, and the Tigers also stuffed the run game.  The Rattlers had no rhythm on offense because of how dominant the Tigers were in the trenches.
