Razorbacks will rack up 300 or more rushing yards vs South Carolina

The good news for Arkansas heading into Week 2 is that it should be able to lean into one of its greatest strengths: the running game.

South Carolina gave up 200 rushing yards in Week 1 to Georgia State, a team from the Sun Belt. Arkansas has KJ Jefferson, one of the strongest quarterbacks in the SEC to blow throw their porous defensive line.

The Sardis, Mississippi native recorded 18 rushes for 62 yards and a touchdown last week. That’s in addition to the 223 passing yards and 3 TD he recorded through the air.

And, don’t sleep on Rocket Sanders, who rushed for 117 yards on 20 carries himself. If Dominique Johnson is available, the running game could get an even bigger boost.

Johnson, who was responsible for seven touchdowns and 575 rushing yards last season, missed the season opener.

Arkansas football has a great offensive line, talented backs, and a star quarterback that forces defenses to bite anytime they show run, oftentimes creating wide-open passing lanes for Jefferson to connect with his revamped receiving corps.
