WVU football: 3 bold predictions vs. Virginia Tech in Week 4
2. JT Daniels has his best game as a Mountaineer
I know what you’re probably thinking: how will a defense that has been one of the best in the country so far this season allow so many big offensive games to West Virginia? Well, when your only opponents have been Old Dominion, Boston College (arguably the worst team in the Power Five outside of Colorado), and Wofford, it’s easy to look good defensively.
West Virginia has been one of the most explosive offensive teams in the country this season, averaging over 500 yards per game.
JT Daniels engineers that offense.
Through three games, he has 753 yards and six touchdowns with just two picks. He’s off to a really solid start to his West Virginia career and he’s going to pad his stats on Thursday night against a defense that hasn’t seen anyone like him yet.
Daniels had a really good game against Kansas where he nearly threw for 400 yards and three touchdowns, but I see him approaching that mark against the Hokies with four scores and a completion rate over 70 percent. A nearly flawless game for the Georgia transfer.
