I went back and forth with this in one in predicting that USC would drop a spot in the rankings in order to make room for Oklahoma State, but that just doesn’t seem likely, especially since the Trojans are going to be undefeated and can’t control the teams that are on their schedule in conference play.

The Trojans got a crack at a bad Arizona State team that has dealt with a ton this season, including the firing of head coach Herm Edwards.

The game wasn’t supposed to be close and it probably won’t end up that way, but I’m projecting the Trojans end up with a comfortable win and keep this No. 6 ranking even though Oklahoma State is right on their heels. AP voters will keep the two very close and if the Cowboys are more impressive next week, I could see them jumping the Trojans.
