Michigan was expecting a decent fight in the Big Ten title game and they got one from Purdue who actually put up a better effort than Iowa last year.

The Boilermakers held their own and were even within one at halftime and two scores late in the fourth quarter until the Wolverines ran out the clock and won their second straight conference title.

No Blake Corum, no problem for Michigan.

The Wolverines finish the season 13-0 and will head into the playoff field as the No. 2 seed and I could see the committee salivating at the opportunity to pin them against Ohio State again in the semifinal.

We’ll see how the committee decides to rank the top four but my best guess would be Michigan at No. 2 and Ohio State at No. 3.

Jim Harbaugh has turned his coaching career at Michigan around in a massive way.
