Season Overview: There are not enough kind words to say about the season the Kansas Jayhawks had in 2022, and that includes a thrilling bowl game against Arkansas. It was a tale of two seasons for Kansas, but injuries and a lack of talent depth caught up with them. That said, getting to a bowl for the first time in 15 years is an accomplishment and a sign they can build a solid foundation.
2023 Outlook: The Jayhawks bring most of their 2022 roster back in 2023. Logan Brown comes to Lawrence from Madison; a huge get via the transfer portal. Leipold and his staff understand the defense has to improve. As much fight and moxy they showed this season, being the cardiac kids is not a sustainable model of success.
