Right when you think Michigan’s Big Ten reign might come to an end, the Wolverines bring back a ton of talent and should be right there in the mix for the playoff for a third straight season.

The major question mark here would be the status of Jim Harbaugh as head coach. He’s been flirting with the NFL (again) but I’d guess that he’s back and he’ll have a loaded roster to work with.

Mazi Smith, Olusegun Oluwatimi, Jake Moody, and Ronnie Bell are off to the NFL as the biggest names leaving the program this offseason, but JJ McCarthy, Donovan Edwards, Will Johnson, Blake Corum, Mike Sainristil, and Junior Colson will all be back.

The Wolverines should be the top-ranked Big Ten team to begin the season and will hold that distinction until someone can take them down. They haven’t lost a Big Ten game since October of 2021.
