College Football Rankings: Way-too-early Top 25 projections for 2023
How do you replace a former Heisman-winning quarterback like Bryce Young? Oh, just by sliding in a former top-100 recruit as the next starter. Jalen Milroe is a 6-2, 200-pound dual-threat who should become the next star under center for the Crimson Tide next season.
Jahmyr Gibbs is also gone after just one season with the Tide and he’ll be tough to replace, but the Tide always have good backs.
The receiving corps and offensive line could be major strengths next season.
The defense has a lot to replace, but Nick Saban is bringing in the No. 1 recruiting class in the country and that side of the ball will be reloaded by the talent accrued over the last few classes.
Alabama was arguably the best team in the country not named Georgia this season and it would be tough to argue that they would have given the Bulldogs a good run for their money in the title game.
The Tide should be no worse than the second-best team in the nation to begin 2023.
