College Football Rankings: Way-too-early Top 25 projections for 2023
Georgia is your back-to-back national champion and the Bulldogs should begin the 2023 season as the No. 1 team again until they finally lose a game. The Bulldogs haven’t lost a game since Dec. 4 of 2021 in the SEC title game against Alabama and all they did after that was reel off 17 straight wins, including two national titles.
Stetson Bennett will be gone, so there will be a question mark there as those are some big shoes to fill. Luckily the Bulldogs have a couple of good options in Carson Beck, former five-star Brock Vandagriff, and top-150 prospect Gunner Stockton. Can’t go wrong with any of those options.
Kenny McIntosh will be gone, but Daijun Edwards is back and the backfield should have plenty of talent like it always does. Plus, they have some really good receiver transfers coming in as well as one of the best recruiting classes in the nation.
Defensively, the Bulldogs will reload again and I’d be shocked if they lost a single game next year given yet another very manageable schedule.
Georgia is No. 1 until they finally lose a game.
